Wood Burn Series
Wood Burn Series is now available in the "Buy Prints Here!" section.
This series was created all based off of a little soldering iron. My lovely boys at SJC drums sent the iron to me, along with a raw snare shell and said "go nuts". Nuts I went. Since they let me keep the iron, this series was created.
These pieces were a silly little process. After burning the image, I used those stain markers I mentioned in the Open Mic Night series. To finish it off I took a wood carving tool to it, for no reason other than to bring back the raw lightness of the wood. I think the whole series has a certain humor or pathetic quality to it that you don't find in my other work. And as we all know, pathetic is hilarious.
